Dr. Alexander and his wife Beth were part of the original group of parents that felt the need for a Christian school in our area. Dr. Alexander has served as the School Board Chairman since the founding of the school in 1993.
Dr. Alexander is an Infectious Disease physician practicing in the area in a private practice for 35 years. He is a member of a 7 physician and two nurse practitioner group. They serve the Will County community with two hospitals and several nursing homes, as well as an outpatient office practice.
He considers it a privilege to be a part of this ministry. He praises God for the way he has provided the staff, finances and resources in amazing ways to accomplish the mission of the school.
As a husband and father, Jonas Byrer has volunteered his time on the Trinity Christian School Board for the last 3 years and participates on the school’s Finance Committee. He has been married to his lovely wife, Kathleen Byrer, for over 15 years. They have one child who has attended TCS since she was in kindergarten; his daughter, Addison, is currently in 6th grade.
Jonas has lived in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago since 2004, where he has been involved in and participates in several organizations such as Safe Families, where he has been a Host family since 2013. His family also has sponsored children through Compassion International since 2013. Other organizations that Jonas donates his time and resources to are Mission Bible Church, Feed My Starving Children and Northern Food Bank.
Jonas grew up in Indiana, where he graduated from Purdue University in 2000. He currently works in the mortgage industry with his twin brother.
Mr. Goergen has served the Trinity Christian School Board since 1995.
John has served on the TCS board since 2007. His daughter Alexis attended Trinity Christian from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Mr. Herod and his wife Regina attend Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Joliet.
John retired from Dow Chemical after 41 years but currently works for TransWood Transportation.
John has been actively involved with TCS from the time he and his family first entered the school. John still greets the students on Friday mornings. John says, “I enjoy the opportunity to say good morning to the students and their parents/grandparents. I have come to know so many of them over the years. Some I have been able to keep up with once they leave TCS.”
J.D. is the parent of four former TCS students, with an investment of over forty student-years of TCS education.
He and his wife Robyn are active members of their Evangelical Covenant church.
J.D. works at IBM where he serves as a worldwide sales executive.
Taneeya Bryant is the mother of Corinne who has been a student of TCS since kindergarten.
Taneeya and her family attend Mt. Zion Baptist Church where her husband Rev Dr. Curtis Bryant Jr. serves as the Senior Pastor.
Taneeya has over ten years’ experience in bank fraud investigations and over two years’ experience in Anti Money Laundering investigations. She is currently engaging in contract investigations work which allows her to utilize her Master’s Degree in Financial Crime and Compliance Management.
Taneeya loves to volunteer at TCS by offering administrative support to the teachers by completing take home projects, copying, and filing. Taneeya also enjoys being a secret reader for the students.
School Board Meetings
School Board Meetings are typically held on the third Tuesday of every month. TCS Parents are welcome to attend the open session that begins at 7 p.m.
