Parent-Teacher Ministry
What is the Parent-Teacher Ministry all about?
The PTM is comprised of Trinity Christian School parents who enjoy working together to create community for one another and to support the school in many ways. The goals of PTM are to:
- Promote the mission of the school
- Foster community
- Raise funds to enrich the school curriculum beyond the school budget
- Facilitate communication among the parents, administration and school board
- Identify opportunities for parent participation in the school
- Provide social gatherings (with and without children)
- Recognize faculty effort
- Give gifts to the school
How do we enrich the school?
The PTM Board, as representatives of the parent body, works to strengthen communication and cooperation between parents and the school.
The PTM raises funds from a variety of events throughout the year. Funds are used for special gifts to the school as determined by the PTM Board.
The PTM builds community by hosting the beginning of the year Jump-Start Picnic, welcoming new families through the Welcome Program, sponsoring a Teacher Luncheon and hosting Family Fun Nights.
The PTM grows together in faith by offering prayer group opportunities like Moms In Touch, sponsoring parent education opportunities and seeking inspirational speakers for parent meetings.
The PTM fosters fellowship by hosting the Thanksgiving Luncheon, serving refreshments at events like Grandparents' Day and Field Day.
The PTM ministers to teachers and staff by providing teachers a “free” day off at Christmas time, preparing meals through the Teacher Meals and Teacher Treats Programs and sponsoring a schoolwide Teacher Appreciation Week.
