Our students recently had the opportunity to explore the amazing design of God’s creation through a frog dissection! As we studied anatomy and physiology, students were able to identify and examine many of the body systems we have been learning about in class, including the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory.
There were plenty of “wow” moments as students made connections between their notes and what they observed firsthand. Hands-on experiences like this help bring science to life and deepen students’ understanding of how living organisms are organized and function.
This year, we also incorporated a simulated synthetic frog option for a group of students who had struggled to fully participate in dissections in the past. This allowed every student to engage with the learning experience in a way that helped them build confidence while still exploring the anatomy and structures we were studying.
A huge congratulations to our students for approaching this lab with curiosity, maturity, and a willingness to learn. It was a fantastic day of discovery in the science classroom! 🧪🐸
