Our Benefit Event, scheduled for Friday, March 13, has been postponed until further notice.
March 12, 2020
Dear Trinity Families,
In view of the current state of COVID-19, along with recommendations by the Centers for Disease Control, the Trinity Christian School Board has been evaluating and weighing the risks and benefits of having the TCS Benefit Event, Friday, March 13. We have also discussed our event with some local infectious disease doctors, and they all agree with the idea “cancel all non-essential large gatherings.” We do not operate out of a spirit of fear. We do have a responsibility to protect all who could be possibly impacted.
With this in mind, the board has decided to postpone the Benefit Event, scheduled for tomorrow, March 13, at 6 p.m. in Plainfield. We will look forward to attending it together at a later date.
According for the Centers for Disease Control, event cancellation is a community-based intervention that can help stop the spread of COVID-19. While there are currently no known cases in Will County, we have decided to change our plans out of an abundance of caution, until the spread of the virus dies down.
We encourage you all to continue to practice everyday prevention measures like frequent hand washing, staying home when sick, and covering coughs and sneezes.
We will keep you updated about a new date as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
In His Grip,
Dr. Fred Alexander
TCS Board President
